A. Kendall Wood

Ken Wood has specialized in civil litigation since joining Hinchy, Witte, Wood, & Anderson in 1967. A founding member and senior partner, Mr. Wood maintains an active litigation practice and supervises the firm's Litigation Department.
Mr. Wood represents plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters, including general business litigation, real property litigation, securities and insurance contract litigation. Representative clients include local, regional, and national businesses, banks and other financial institutions, contractors, insurance companies, communications companies, municipalities, and universities, as well as individual litigants.
Mr. Wood was an honor student throughout his academic life. He graduated from San Diego State University magna cum laude in 1958 with a bachelor of arts degree. He was on the Dean's Academic Honor Roll at SDSU from 1954-58 and elected to the Blue Key Honor Society from 1955-58. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Wood served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963, earning the rank of LT (j.g.). He was the recipient of the 1966 St. Thomas More Scholarship at the University of San Diego School of Law for graduating first in his class. He was also Editor-in-Chief for the San Diego Law Review from 1965-1966, and earned USD's Trial Advocacy Award in 1966. Mr. Wood taught legal research and writing and civil trial technique as an Adjunct Professor at USD's School of Law from 1967-1975.
He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in California. Mr. Wood is a member of the American Bar Association, California State Bar Association, San Diego County Bar Association, California Trial Lawyers Association, San Diego Trial Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, and Business Litigation Attorneys Association.
